The RISK RL283 internal cable routing tool (storage case edition) lets you route brake housing, shift housing, hydraulic brake hose and Di2 wires through the inside of a bike frame quickly and cleanly. The magnetic guide cord and guide magnet work together through the frame’s internal ports — drop the magnet in one opening, pull it out the other, then use the traction sleeve and connectors to draw your cables through in seconds. No more fishing blindly through hidden frame tubes.

Compatibility / What It Fits

• Carbon / composite bike frames with internal cable routing ports (min. Ø6 mm holes).
• Routes: 5 mm brake housing, 4 mm shift housing, braided housing, hydraulic brake hose, Di2 SD300 / SD50 electric wires, and inner cables (1.2 / 1.5 mm).
• Fits road, MTB and gravel frames with internal routing.
• ⚠️ NOT suitable for steel frames — the magnet cannot work through steel.

Notes & Cautions

• Not for steel frames; steel blocks the magnetic guide.
• Frame routing holes must be at least Ø6 mm.
• The quick traction sleeve needs a routing hole larger than 8 mm and suits Ø4–5.5 mm cables/hose.
• Cut cable/hose metal ends flat; wrap any exposed metal end with electrical tape before inserting into the sleeve, or it may cut the sleeve.
• After routing a hydraulic brake hose, cut ~10 mm off the hose end before fitting to prevent leaks.
• Di2 SD300 connector is a tight fit — install with proper tooling; the SD50 connector is used together with the inner cable connector.
• The traction sleeve is a consumable part — keep spares (RL284) on hand.
