Descriptions
Achieve a perfectly flat and clean cut on your high-end bicycle forks with the RISK Professional Fork Steerer Tube Facing & Chamfering Tool Series. Specially engineered for carbon fiber headtubes, this series ensures your stem and spacers sit flawlessly flush, preventing headset play and uneven stress. Choose between the RL351/RL352 Carbon Facing Tools for flattening tube ends, or the RL259-1 Round Tube Sander for interior and exterior edge deburring.
Key Features
- Electric Drill Driven: Features a standard 6mm hex shank drive; compatible with standard hand drills to make facing fast and effortless.
- Smooth Non-Metal Bearings: Equipped with a built-in water-washable, fluid-rotation non-metal bearing that delivers smooth, unhindered rotational performance.
- Magnetic Quick-Release Housing: Features a clever magnetic split-body structure that allows effortless breakdown for quick carbon dust cleaning.
- Advanced 3D Printed Polymer: Built using high-molecular 3D printing technology for a lightweight, structurally optimized, and durable tool body.
Compatibility
- RL351 Tool: Exclusively for 28.6mm (1-1/8″) carbon fiber fork steerer tubes.
- RL352 Tool: Exclusively for 31.8mm (1-1/4″) carbon fiber fork steerer tubes.
- RL259-1 Chamfer Sander: Universally suitable for internal and external edge deburring on BOTH carbon fiber and metal alloy round tubes.
Important Notes
- Carbon Fiber Only: The RL351 and RL352 facing tools are strictly prohibited for use on steel, aluminum, or titanium steerer tubes (Metal will ruin the diamond disc).
- Drill Speed Limit: When using an electric drill, the rotational speed MUST NOT exceed 800 r/min , and the drill direction must be set to Clockwise .
- Keep it Vertical: Ensure the fork tube is inserted perfectly straight and vertical into the tool during high-speed rotation to avoid wobble or uneven grinding.
- Maintenance: The housing and bearing are water-washable. However, please air-dry immediately after washing to prevent the RL353 diamond disc from rusting.
- Aesthetic Note: Due to the precision 3D printing process, normal layer lines or seam textures may be visible on the surface. This is a characteristic of the manufacturing process and not a quality issue.
